Proposal and Grant Writing Fellowship


This fellowship is aimed at staff of non-profit organizations, development workers, government officials, researchers, consultants and knowledge workers in universities, institutes, government agencies, and corporate organizations, UN agency staff and policy planners who want to learn how to write effective RFPs and grant proposals.

The programme provides an understanding of and practice in RFPs and grant proposal writing for non-profits and foundations. The program is designed for both novice and experienced grant-seekers, it is a comprehensive, hands-on training that covers researching funding sources and writing award winning proposals.

Further, the programme will teach you how to use a standard proposal writing format, the most widely used in the development sector. Fellows will leave this programme with new skills and the ability to apply those skills to the needs of their own organization and community.

Why the proposal and grant writing programme?

This proposal writing course teaches participants how to plan and write a proposal that wins business. It explains the most efficient process to plan and organize a proposal. It also explains how to hone language and tone to make your product or solution compelling to the client. This is a practicum course. During the course, you will plan and write an actual work proposal with instructor review and guidance of incremental steps. The course also includes a final coaching session to review your final proposal and ensure future proposals are strong.

What is the mode of this fellowship programme?

Fellows will be in the network of IDR and will be able to make original contributions to our programmes and thematic areas. They will continue to work or study in their current positions and various locations, but will interact with IDR as a part of the Fellowship.

Do I need to have experience in the development sector?

No prior experience is required. This fellowship is aimed at staff of non-profit organizations, development workers, government officials, researchers, consultants and knowledge workers in universities, institutes, government agencies, and corporate organizations, UN agency staff and policy planners who want to learn how to write effective RFPs and grant proposals.

• Batch enrollment of fellows on Microsoft Teams

Commencement of remote fellowship activities

End of programme and issuance of certificate of fellowship

How is this programme funded?

This development programme is a sole initiative of Dataville Research LLC and and does not receive any external funding for any of its activities. Hence, as a matter of policy, selected participants will be required to pay NGN 6000 or 23 USD training fee.
